ØAdmission – Special Drive for wider coverage of learners of uncovered districts of Chhattisgarh.

Ø  Community engagement activities in rural, tribal, minority groups and slum areas in collaboration with locals to explore customized solutions

Ø  Developing rapport with students from conventional institutions by way of collaborative sensitization programmes in their career guidance cells

Ø  Use of social media for wider publicity

Ø  Regular Press Releases during admission cycles, examinations, etc.,

Ø  Design, development and distribution of posters, leaflets and brochures in both English and Hindi for Programmes of IGNOU along with the detailed List of Learner Support Centres to promote awareness about IGNOU Programmes.

Ø  Extensive use of SMS services to inform the learners about confirmation of admission, re-registration, counselling, examination, etc.

Ø  Creation of an exclusive section to deal with student support services

Ø  Direct feedback from the existing learners for immediate redressal of the grievances

Ø  Establishment of learner support Centres as per need and demand

Activities of the Regional Centre

Ø  Appointment and Renewal of Coordinators/part-time staff

Ø  Coordination between IGNOU headquarters and Study Centres

Ø  Visiting Educational Institutions to establish IGNOU LSCs.

Ø  Financial activities: Budget planning, processing and release of payment for bills related to LSCs & RC staff, monthly financial reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial reports of the region

Ø  Administrative activities: Maintenance of all types of administrative records as per standard procedures, service/legal matters, performance appraisals, Purchases & Maintenance of Equipments & Infrastructure related to LSCs/RC , Annual Stock Verification etc.

Ø  Appointment of daily-wage manpower as per requirements of office through manpower agency, hiring security services, maintenance of building, electricity supply, monitoring of expenditures and budget control etc.,

Ø  Implementation of standard guidelines for protection of women against sexual harassment, anti ragging provisions, provisions for physically challenged persons etc
